About Brentwood Yard Drainage
A plain-English way for East County homeowners to understand yard drainage problems, what the fixes usually cost, and how to hire well.

What this site is
Brentwood Yard Drainage is an independent referral website for yard drainage, French drains, dry wells, and downspout drainage in Brentwood and the surrounding East Contra Costa communities. We are not a contractor and don't do drainage work ourselves. When you call or send a request, we pass it to an independent local drainage contractor who serves your area.
The contractor gives you the quote, sets the price, schedules the work, and is responsible for the job and its warranty. You deal with them directly, and you're never obligated to hire anyone.
Why this site exists
Most people with a wet yard want three things: what's causing it, roughly what the fix will cost, and who can do it well. The pages here try to answer the first two honestly, with published cost ranges and the sources named, and with the downsides of each option stated instead of skipped. The phone number and form handle the third.
What this site covers, and what it doesn't
Residential yard drainage: French drain installation and repair, dry wells, downspout lines, catch basins and channel drains, and the grading questions that go with them. It does not cover plumbing drains inside the house, sewer lines, septic systems, basement waterproofing, or commercial and agricultural drainage.
What we won't do
- Post fake reviews, badges, awards, or project photos, or present stock images as completed work.
- Claim years in business, licenses, or credentials this site doesn't have.
- Promise response times, warranties, or prices that a contractor hasn't committed to.
- State prices as Brentwood-specific when they are national or regional ranges.
Check any contractor, including one you find here
- Ask for the contractor's CSLB license number and look it up at cslb.ca.gov. The CSLB site also explains when a California contractor license is required.
- Get the quote in writing: the length and depth of each drain, the pipe and gravel, filter fabric, where the outlet is, and how the yard will be restored.
- Be wary of large deposits or cash-only terms. Ask who marks utilities through 811 and who handles any permit the city requires.
- Ask the contractor to show you the route and the fall from the farthest inlet to the outlet, and what warranty covers the work.
